Peshwe Park, Pune

The very lovely Peshwe Park. It is right next to Parvati Hill, and it also has a temple. Just about every park in India has a temple. Anyways, it is a very large park and has an attached zoo and amusement park to. It is a popular meeting spot for business men, college kids, and beautiful girls.

Goats often rest on the 90-something stairs up to the temple. Just off the steps about 300 meters to either side of the steps are two very large slum clusters that have taken refuge under the temple shadow. From the slums come goats, chickens, dogs, and all sorts of other critters that harrass you on your way up.
