Police Corruption

It has been revealed: An aged politician was paying a police chief a sum of money to work for him as a personal servant and to ensure loyalty. Old news. But heres the real big part: The politician was paying upward of 200 crore! In layperson terms, thats about $40 million!

Scooter

I gotta tell you: The scooter is the way to ride. Motorcycles here create too much smoke, and besides their ugly anyways. But my uncle has a really nice Saffire scooter (I forget which company makes it) that is very comfortable for the second rider too. I love these even more than I 'love' rickshaws!

Laughing Club

My dad's Uncle, that is, Raju Kaka, lives with his family at a luxurious apartment complex in a green section of Pune. Yes you heard me correctly. Luxurious apartment and green Pune. Across from this complex is a tropical rainforest that people use as a kind of stress relief therapy. Every morning a group of people gather a ways in and just laugh. Not particularly at anything, just pure laughter. They also have excercises in different kinds of laughing. So here you do not have to worry about a rooster waking you up in the morning. Your neighbours surely will.

Barber Shop

If you ever need to get a haircut, come to India...well, if you can afford it. The trip I mean... not the haircut. Thing is, the barbers here all do a better job than any of the other barbers in the US, and at rock-bottom prices. I got a pro hair cut along with a shave with open razor for only i think Rs. 30. Thats about 60 cents. And they do a really nice job.

Dreaming in Hindi

They say that whatever language you dream in is your mother tongue. Ever since I came here I've been dreaming in English, Marathi, Hindi, Gujrati, Spanish, and German....I think I'm lost...could you please show me the door?
